Noble Connections: Edward’s father was Edward IV, and his paternal grandfather was Richard, Duke of York. He was a descendent of John of Gaunt through this line. Controversy: The main controversy surrounding Edward V, and his brother, Richard Duke of York, is their disappearance and death in the Tower of London c.1483.
