‘Talking Tudors’ is a podcast by Natalie Grueninger, author of ‘Discovering Tudor London’ and co-author of ‘In the Footsteps of Anne Boleyn’ and ‘In the Footsteps of the Six Wives of Henry VIII’ with Sarah Morris. As you can see there is a huge variety of guests and topics, ranging across the whole period, and not just political history, but also social, religious and economic, so plenty to get your teeth into! ‘10 To Go’ is a little question and answer which allows us to get to know the guests on the podcast a bit better while their ‘Tudor Takeaway’ is something which they encourage you to go away and have a look at, visit, listen to, watch or read, that they consider really interesting to those engaged in Tudor history and research.
I thoroughly enjoy this podcast. I think it’s because there is such a variety of topics and voices over the different episodes, and even for a Tudor history nut like me there is always some little titbit that you didn’t know about before.
Natalie’s blog On the Tudor Trail (http://onthetudortrail.com/Blog/talking-tudors-podcast/) lists the music and books referenced in each episode of the podcast as well, so you know there was something you wanted to look up from an episode once you’ve finished listening, it’s a really handy resource. Natalie’s website also has links to her social media like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
There is also a Facebook group you can join for the really avid Tudor fan, by searching “Talking Tudors” on Facebook where there is lots of Tudor-related chat and you should never be afraid of asking a question or putting forward an opinion, as long as you are polite to everyone involved!
