Henry VIII Cross Stitch

For anyone who follows me on Instagram (@tudorblogger) you might have been following my lockdown sewing journey to sew Henry VIII and his Six Wives.

The pattern can be found here – https://smile.amazon.co.uk/DMC-Henry-Stitch-Cotton-Various/dp/B0046AADZ2/

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind with some weeks where I have sewn a lot more than other weeks, depending on what has been going on in my life. It has been a difficult few months, but sewing this project has given me a much-needed distraction and when I get it framed it will look amazing hanging above the desk in my study.

  1. Hi I have a question about a something on the pattern one of the threads doesn’t have the same picture on the pattern is there any way you can help me?

      1. One of the threads on the pattern is the same shape as thread 838 but on the actual thread pattern on the thread holder it shows 310/550 how do I know which to use?

      2. Could you please help me. I’ve come across what looks like a bow tie symbol on the pattern, but there’s no such symbol! It’s either blue or purple! I don’t know what to do now.

  2. I love your cross stitch of Henry Viii and wives . Do you know if the Cross stitch pattern and colour chart can be purchased from anywhere as I have plenty of cottons from many other projects it would be something to do in these trying times
    Many Thanks
